Ed McMahon Dies of Cancer
- Osteosarcoma: develops in growing bone tissue and is most often found in the knees and upper arms of children.
- Chondrosarcoma: develops in cartilidge, usually in the pelvis, upper legs, or shoulders and usually affects adults over 50 years of age.
- Ewing’s Sarcoma: develops in immature bone marrow tissue and usually occurs in children or young adults between the ages of 10 and 25.

It is more likely that he had prostate cancer which is very common in men his age. Most men who die of prostate cancer die because it metastasizes to their bones. Breast cancer also kills many women because it metastasizes to their bones.
Neither is osteosarcoma (primary bone cancer.)
