Long periods of sitting may not be good for you. A study conducted by a team of American researchers and published in the online medical journal BMJ Open showed that adults can live longer by up to 2 years if they only sit down for less than 3 hours a day. Limiting our time spent sitting down can be difficult. For most office workers, who make a living sitting behind a desk all day, it’s close to impossible.
