Snoring: Is it the Sign of a Health Problem and What are Some Remedies?

While snoring can damage your ears (and annoy your partner), it isn’t necessarily a health problem by itself. The important thing is whether snoring can be a sign of sleep apnea. I read that sleep apnea is a condition that affects 18 million Americans, and almost 10% of people who snore have sleep apnea.

I used to suffer from severe snoring, and my better half would often wake me up many times during the night because she feared that I'd stop breathing. At the time, neither of us knew much about sleep apnea, but as we learned more it became somewhat of a concern. I even considered going to a "sleep clinic" to find out more. But I didn't have to. One of the best "remedies" I can recommend (that definitely worked wonders for me) is to LOSE WEIGHT! For anyone who is at a healthy weight already, I don't have any other advice to offer up, but I know that shedding some unhealthy pounds has put a stop to my snoring and has improved my sleep.
