You've probably heard the Mediterranean Diet as being touted as good for your health. But what if you can't bear the thought of giving up the diet's no-no foods (red meat, anyone)? Well, there's still hope for you. According to a study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine, simply by incorporating a few of the Mediterranean Diet's "core" foods into your diet (whole grains, fresh produce, fish, nuts, wine, etc.), you can reduce your risk of dying from heart disease by up to 15 percent. Anti-cancer benefits were also revealed. So even if you don't go 100 percent Mediterranean, you can still reap some health benefits.
