Sara Pierce is the founder of Presence in Healing, a transformative work that promotes self healing through exploration and guidance. As a Presence in Healing teacher who integrates body, heart, mind, and spirit in sessions and classes her practice seeks to:
Sara deeply believes in the idealistic view of many paths, one destination.
She has trained for over 25 years in a variety of healing modalities that complements her role as a teacher and coach. Other trainings include physical therapy with primary interests in pediatrics and neurology, massage therapy, craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, sensory processing, Aquacranial â Therapy and Waterdance. She integrates this with years of experience working with adults, children, families and their communities. In addition she mentors with a variety of healers from the fields of family practice, life coaching, osteopathy and spirituality.
Sara is a cofounder with Karen Hedger and Faith Perkins of the 501c3 nonprofit, Children, Families and Communities and their programs: DTA Center for Learning and Growing; Lodestar and The Good Ideas Program which combined focus on supporting integrative medicine, education and healing. Sara also provides healing services in the water named Alo in Agua. This unique experience for healing is done individually and in partnership with Robin Matthews of Blue Water Intentions. Learning experiences in the natural environment occur throughout the United States with annual intensives in Florida and Hawaii in the ocean.
Sara has also developed classes for parents and caregivers under the heading, Parents Go First. This unique series of classes and sessions allows parents to explore issues important to them as they raise children. Using “Being With Children As We Are”, a text by Karen Hedger and Sara Pierce, classes utilize the thought that as parents we are supporting children in discovering for themselves “what it is to be human this time”.
Sara is also developing the program, Self Discovery Through Recovery. This brings the skills of Presence in Healing combined with massage, movement, meditation and detoxification through the skin to those in the recovery process of addiction. Her special interest is in serving those in recovery in the 14-30 year old range.
All of these services seek to help others find their inner truth and to live lives which are congruent with that. Each of us is faced with life experiences that encourage us to live more deeply, more consciously and with more vibrancy in service to the world. It is simply a matter of relearning how to be happy with who we are at this time and expressing that authentically in the moments of our days.
Meditate a little, play, work, eat consciously and move. Share with others who you are and dream. Really that’s all there is to do. The rest is being.
