Beth Shaw is the founder and president of YogaFit Training Systems Worldwide, The leader in Mind Body Education since 1994. YogaFit has trained over 100,000 fitness instructors in the United States and thousands more in Europe, Turkey, Australia, China, and South America. Beth is the author of YogaFit (Human Kinetics 2001) and YogaFit-2nd Edition (Human Kinetics 2009). She has appeared on numerous television programs including The Big Idea, ShowTimes Penn & Teller, E'Style Network, CNN, NBC and MSNBC. Shaw has also been published in numerous fitness, business and consumer publications, including TIME, LA TIMES, USA TODAY, Entrepreneur, SELF, FIT, Yoga Journal, and many others. She holds a degree in Business from L.I.U. and numerous yoga, fitness and body mind certifications. In addition to being recognized throughout the United States and internationally as one of the leading experts in the fitness industry, Beth is a huge community service and animal rights advocate. She is on National Council for the Humane Society of the U.S. (HSUS), the Chairperson for the Advisory Board for Karma Rescue and she is on the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) Board of Directors.
