Foods that contain magnesium include almonds, cashews, avocado, brown rice, spinach and potato.  Magnesium can be found in and green plant food and contains chlorophyll which is essential for brain functioning.  A deficiency in magnesium can lead to disturbances in your muscles and your central nervous system.

Potassium helps to maintain an acid balance in your body and is good for hydration and a healthy heart.  It strengthens arteries and strengthens blood vessels in relation to aging.  You can find potassium in foods such as bananas and potatoes as well as other fruits such as apricots.  It is believed that 1 banana a day will give you all the potassium you need daily.   A mild deficiency in potassium may cause you to develop a severe bout of diarrhoea, sweating or vomiting.  You may also experience muscular weakness, whilst severe deficiency may lead to heart failure.  Some specialists believe one piece of potassium rich fruit or vegetable can reduce the risk of a fatal stroke by 40%.Lastly Vitamin E is essential if you want to maintain a high level of anti-oxidants which is essential for warding off the signs of aging.  Vitamin E is easily attainable and the best sources come from wheat germ oil, sunflower oil and roasted peanuts.  Vitamin E also aids in fertility.
