Slow the Aging Process and Relieve Pain: How to Recharge Your Body with Sex

Most everyone will agree that having sex makes you feel better. But did you know that sex can also help you look younger and be in less pain? There have been a number of studies done recently that back up these two claims. Which means only one thing . . . you should definitely be having sex more often! Let’s take a look at some research results that can’t be ignored when it comes to sex and your health.

Sex as a Pain Reliever
Let’s start with how sex can alleviate pain. In one study that was done at Queens University in Belfast, it was concluded that sex can help alleviate joint, muscle and menstrual pain. But the benefits don’t end there. It was also found that regular sexual activity can help fight off the common cold and flu, lengthen your life, help you lose weight, and combat depression.

Before you take an over-the-counter pain reliever such as Advil or Tylenol, give your partner a call. The very same pain-relief benefits from the artificial product you are about to put in your body can be received naturally through sex. According to the study from Belfast the endorphins that are released in the body immediately prior to orgasm are five times higher then normal. These endorphins (known as oxytocin) can alleviate pain from a headache to the discomfort felt from arthritis or migraines.

Sex and Anti-Aging
Now let’s look at how sex slows the aging process and helps you look younger longer. First of all, sex is the ideal aerobic exercise. While it may not completely replace regular trips to the gym, it will help burn calories and tone the body. Consider this: 30 minutes of sex burns about 150 calories, which is more calories burned than if you were to spend the same amount of time on a stair climber or in Yoga class. An even more significant translation: if you have sex for 30 minutes three times a week for one year, you are going to burn more calories than if you had run 75 miles!

The anti-aging perk doesn’t stop there; sex will also improve your youthful appearance in other ways. A study that was done recently by Scotland’s Royal Edinburgh Hospital showed a healthy active sex life can make you look up to seven years younger. This is because sex increases the blood flow to the skin as well as the organs in the body. Sex floods your entire system with fresh oxygen, hormones and an increase of endorphins that provide the body with a total make-over from the inside out.

Re-Boot Your Body
According to Dr. Carol Rinkleib Elison, psychologist and author, a satisfying sexual experience is essentially the same as a computer re-boot, in that it can completely re-set your body. All of this is thanks to the oxytocin that is released prior to orgasm.

So the next time you are looking for a way to feel and look good, forget the make-up counter and ignore thoughts of a new wardrobe. Get home and heat up the house with your partner instead . . . you’ll feel better, look younger and be healthier as a result.

I think what is said here is right on the money. The only problem I see is when a person does not have a partner or if a partner is either unwilling or cannot indulge in sex. In those cases, it is perfectly permissible to engage in masturbation as one can derive the same benefits although not as pleasurable as sex with a partner.
