Getting a Flu Shot May Double Your Risk of Catch the Swine Flu
There is great concern about how the seasonal flu, and even more about the swine flu. Those in authority are using the media to advocate getting flu shots. They are being administered at grocery stores, college campuses, pharmacies, and some employers are even providing them on site. However, these flu shots may be causing more harm than good on a variety of levels.
Could previously administered flu shots actually increase someone’s chances of contracting the swine flu? Although reports are not yet official, rumor has it that some unpublished Canadian data may suggest just that. A sequence of studies indicate that people that received the seasonal flu shot last year are actually about twice as likely as those who were unvaccinated to get swine flu (H1N1) this year. These statistics may shock many that have been die-hard flu shot advocates.

While waiting to see if this information will ever hit the public, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has been hard at work.
Novartis, GlaxoSmithKline, MedImmune, Australian drug maker CSL, and Sanofi-Pasteur all stand to make oodles of money.
Reports Are yet Unconfirmed
While there has not yet been any confirmation of these leaked reports, it is definitely worthy of continuing attention.
Apparently the inherent dangers associated with the thimerosal contained in the vaccines, such as autism and dementia, is not enough evidence to stand alone. If confirmed, this evidence from these leaked studies could go a long way to justifying refusal of the swine flu vaccine which is already mandatory for physicians and health care workers in New York. This would also be instrumental in counteracting the $12 million campaign that the CDC has in the works to use Elmo and other Sesame Street characters to persuade kids to get the swine flu vaccine.
While awaiting confirmation of these frightening results, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is using the time as effectively as possible to convince the public of the need to receive the seasonal flu vaccine and the swine flu vaccine. But, as a consumer, you need to be educated and willing to take the necessary steps to protect yourself from the impending dangers, side effects, and possible unknown long-term side effects that these vaccinations carry with them.
