Farrah Fawcett Last Rites

A priest has been called in to Farrah Fawcett's hospital room, where she may be recieving her last rites -- a Catholic ritual for the sick who are near death. Farrah's last rites will include a confession, an anointing and a vaticum (latin: "provision for the journey").

Farrah Fawcett's struggle with anal cancer has been widely publicised, much due to Farrah's hope that she might help someone in similar circumstances.

Farrah's family from near and far including her long-time boyfriend (now husband) and father from out of state have gathered in the hospital to keep a vigil. Also included are Farrah's hairdresser and friend Mela Murphy, and actress Alana Stewart.

Things seemed to be looking up nearly a month ago after the release of her documentary called Farrah's Story; she seemed in better health and better spirits - everyone seemed to expect a miracle to occur. There was even a point where Farrah was supposed to be released to go home, according to a source close to Fawcett.
