Losing weight is never easy, but there are some simple things you can do to drop a few pounds and they don’t involve drugs or a gym membership. When your body is dehydrated or is not getting enough fluids, it will conserve as much water as possible. At this point, your kidneys will stop producing urine to retain that fluid. Sugar is made up of refined simple carbohydrates and your body stores one gram of water for every gram of carbohydrates that you consume. This will cause you to feel heavy and bloated.
- Avoid alcohol. Over-indulging in alcohol can cause you to bloat the next day. Alcohol actually dehydrates your body. On the occasions that you do drink alcohol, make sure to follow it with a lot of water (a good rule is to drink one glass of water for each alcoholic you consume).

- Multi-colored berries and melons
- Olive oil
- Avocado
- Almonds
- Salmon and other fish high in omega-3 fatty acids
