Alcoholism and Natural Remedies


Did you know there are actually natural remedies to help with alcoholism?  Alcoholism affects the entire family.  Try some of these natural remedies and see if they can help ease the affects of alcoholism.

Alcoholism affects many people and can literally ruin the lives of the alcoholic, as well as those the alcoholic cares for.  Not only does the alcoholic suffer from many emotional scars, but he/she will suffer many physical effects, as well. One of the hardest areas of an alcoholic’s life is the part of addiction- that desperate need for alcohol. 

Physical and emotional signs of an alcoholic:

• Bloodshot eyes
• Hoarse voice
• Rapid pulse rate
• Irritable, emotional and moody
• Drinking too much all the time
• Missing work due to a hangover
• Not discussing your problem with others (trying to hide your problem)
• Constantly thinking about drinking

If you are suffering from alcoholism or you know someone who is an alcoholic, there are some home remedies and tips that can help ease the effects of alcoholism.

• Eat grapes for an entire month.  Grapes contain the purest form of alcohol; therefore, it is an alternative to alcohol.  Take three meals a day of fresh grapes every five hours. 

• Apples can help in removing intoxication and reduce craving for wines.  There must be a lot of apples consumed on a regular basis.

• Dates rubbed together and put into a half glass of water can help treat alcoholism.  He/she should drink this cocktail two times a day for about a month.

• Juice extracted from bitter gourd leaves mixed with a glass of butter milk every morning for a month can help a damaged liver, which is a health problem many alcoholics face.

• Stay away from refined foods, such as white flour, white rice, white pasta or white sugar.

Alcoholism is a chronic disease that many people try to recover from.  Try these tips and see if they can help!
